blocktunes

I’m proud to be lead producer & mixer for the world’s most ambitious music NFT collection: blocktunes.

54 artists, ranging from big names like Kasabian and Rudimental to the most exciting up & coming acts like 0171 & T.O.L.D. , all collaborated from all over the world.

As lead producer & mixer, I acted as a central node through which all of this creativity was filtered.

With blocktunes, not only have we designed & implemented an app with an algorithm that combines the artistry of all these musicians to create the most exciting remixes, we also developed the next generation of sync libraries.

For the first time, music supervisors can create their own customised tracks, by utilising our building blocks in the form of various musical traits: drums, bass, topline, guitar, etc.

Furthermore, we’re pushing the envelope of ownership rights, allowing the user to purchase full ownership of their track, verifiable on the blockchain & making ownership tradable.

We have sold over 100 NFTs to date and are very excited to bring the possibilities for creativity to the world.

We’re allowing various organisations the chance to beta test our concept, giving them behind the scenes access to our customisable collection. We have a couple more spaces so get in touch to organise an online guided tour.

Heaven and Hell - Harlots Season 2 (hulu & Amazon)

Co-written, produced & mixed by Al Wade

The idea was that the episode would start with Samantha Morton remembering a song from her childhood — a jolly tavern song — but that this would feel eerie and jarring as she sits in her prison cell about to be hung. The team at Harlots loved the opening song so much, they asked to revisit it for a dramatic tavern ‘hoedown’ for the end of the episode.

It was a lot of fun to work on, and great to see the reaction online on its release — it’s now received over 100k streams!
